5 Must-Have Playground Ideas
Most people think of the same things when they imagine a playground: they picture a conventional slide, swings and maybe an elevated platform where kids can stand to look out over the backyard. While it’s true that every great playground has these things, there is so much more you can do to personalize your home playground and create a fun place for the kids to play! Climbing Wall
Kids love to climb! Many playgrounds come with a built-in climbing wall option or you could build one separately in an A-frame shape to make the climb a little easier. Many people choose to utilize a net of some sort on the opposite side to add a little variety – or even below the climbing wall for an added layer of security in the event of a small tumble. Your kids will feel like they’re on top of the world once they’ve conquered the rock wall!
Secret Fort
Create a secret space where your child can pretend and let their imagination run free! If your child loves airplanes, design the fort like a Boeing 787. If your child loves pirates, make it look like a giant pirate ship! The sky is the limit when it comes to fort design.
Puzzles
There are a lot of ways to keep kids engaged when they’re out on the playground. The most important thing is just that they have plenty to do.
